Earthquake Shock wave recordidng is demonstrate with the use of this model. By mounting the model on a talbe and vibrating it. earthquake can be simulated and recorded, The recorder is attached to a weight suspended from a support which moves the vibrations, while the recorder remains stationary because of it's inertia.
